It Started With A Dream
Positive Character Girls, Inc. was created through a dream envisoned by Cynthia Bryant and Patricia Bosley.
During the Pandemic of 2020-2022, these ladies saw how the demoralization of female youth in America was unfortunately, becoming an ongoing crisis. This issue lead to a host of problems, and was having a negative impact on young girls cognitive functioning, physical health, and mental well-being.
Cynthia and Patricia both believed that developing a foundation of positive character traits, coupled with basic Bible principles in young girls would help prevent them from falling victim to this demoralization.
Equally important is ensuring that young girls who live in single parent households have access to similar economic and community resources, as young girls growing up in 2 parent households. Positive Character Girls works to mentor young girls to help combat all of the negative images, thoughts, and feelings today’s society is trying to impose upon them.
Through a partnership with the city of Indianapolis and the mayor's office with funds from the Elevation Grant, PC Girls, Inc . has now expanded to form Positive Character Impact. Positive Character Impact mentors teens and single parents, to ensure they are equipped with the skills, strategies, and resources to improve and strengthen their entire households..
